shannon childs
Shannon is a native New Yorker and has studied art at the Brooklyn Museum, LaGuardia High School, Cooper Union and Pratt Institute. At Pratt, she developed a love for illustration and graphic design while earning a bachelor’s degree in Communication Design. After college she began her career designing for retail and publishing. Soon after, she started doing freelance design in the area of advocacy and social justice. During that time she developed a passion to create design that brings a positive change to people’s lives.

Joy Childs grew up in Massachusetts as a creative spirit with a love for drawing and painting. After graduating from high school she moved to New York City to study art at Pratt Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design. She enjoyed life in Brooklyn for many years, working as a graphic designer in the areas of magazine publishing and non-profit organizations.

Joy now resides in northern Virginia. She is a life-long learner who has evolved into a seasoned artist with a clean and classic design aesthetic while always looking to keep her skill set on point. Her current creative niche involves motion graphics as she is enhancing her design work with movement and dynamic expression.
